Frequently asked questions
At this time, I do not take insurance.
I accept private pay via online payment through an agreed upon method.
Individual sessions are virtual at this time. Group sessions can be virtual, or may take place in person within various community spaces.
Individual art therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. If a client feels more time is needed, an extension of time can be discussed with the art therapist.
Individual art therapy sessions that are 45-50 minutes cost $ 135-$165 (based on a sliding scale to help with affordability of services). Payment is due at the time of service via Square or another agreed upon method. Price per service depends on the length of the session. For couple, family and group fees, please refer to my Professional Rates file below (and under Services).
Frequency of sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly — whatever fits your unique needs, goals and schedule. Sessions are arranged in consultation between you and the Art Therapist.
There is a 24-hour requirement for canceling or rescheduling a session without being charged for the session itself. This allows me to adjust to your needs and balance the needs of other clients. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, your invoice statement will reflect this charge.
Missed sessions will also be charged the full rate, as will partial sessions that occur when you arrive late or leave early.
Extenuating circumstances? We can talk about those. If a cancellation happens because of things on my end, you will not be charged.
You will need a strong internet connection and a private place where you can be free from disruptions and distractions, including your phone and other such devices.
Your art therapy sessions are a time for reflection and sharing—you may have to set boundaries with others so they’ll understand the importance of respecting your privacy.
I try to work with materials that you have on hand. Take a look around your home; how many things can you recycle or use in a creative way? The traditional art supplies you possess are great, but the non-traditional materials you may have will allow us to expand opportunities for creative problem-solving.
As we progress, I may suggest purchasing/acquiring additional materials, depending on your therapeutic needs and goals.
Still have questions? I encourage you to contact me so we can discuss any concerns or questions you may have.
